On Intentional Deception
Instead of admitting a mistake, we sometimes compound it — and in doing so, blind ourselves as much as anyone else.
Instead of admitting that you accidentally knocked the bottle off the table, you knock another one down intentionally and claim you knowingly, determinedly knocked both down. That is a conversation you can control with your grasp of language. You will toy with words and perceptions until the other person can see why you did what you did. You will be "satisfied" with this.
Only, now you have blinded yourself as well as the other person from the reality.
